Cross is growing and expanding our AVAYA Engineering Team with a more data and Application centric model as the primary focus. We are seeking entry level and/or experienced applicants that have solid MIS background and experienced people with a strong data/application background that focus on AVAYA.

The AVAYA Engineer is responsible for providing remote post-sales engineering and implementation in support of Avaya Communications Manager platforms/Applications.  This includes all new platforms such as S87xx/S8500/S8400/S8300 Media Servers, Gateways (G450, G350, and G250) and associated adjuncts and/or 3rd Party Application integration to ACM.  The AVAYA Engineer will be responsible for all IP design and configurations back to include LSP’s back to Media Servers, network regions, and other IP configurations related to AVAYA IP implementations. They will also be tasked with supporting Cross’s 2nd Day Support Program CrossNet on a defined schedule monthly.

The AVAYA Engineer will support simplex/complex installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations, as assigned by their manager. The AVAYA Engineer will work as a member of the project team, and will coordinate data collection for the implementation with the designated customer contact.  AVAYA Engineer will input translations into Provision/ASA and download the completed translation to ACM.  The AVAYA Engineer will maintain effective communications with the assigned project team.  There is the possibility of an AVAYA Engineer simultaneously supporting multiple simplex/complex implementations in several time zones as required by the project.

Requirements:

• Salary is commensurate with experience
• 4 year MIS college degree is required for entry level applicants, but not required for experienced Engineers applying. Work experience and type will be considered.

• Avaya Provision and/or ASA software experience
• Working knowledge of all new platforms such as S87xx/S8500/S8400/S8300, Gateways ( G450,G350,G250,etc.), Intuity, IA770, Modular Messaging, SIP/AES Integration, EMMC
• Knowledge of network services provided by various carriers including ISDN-PRI services with the ability to work with the vendor to test and turn up of circuits
• Must possess excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
